As we think about the approach of the Thanksgiving holiday at the end of the month, it is especially appropriate to reflect on the many blessings in our lives. All of us at Central-Denison extend a huge thanks to YOU, our students’ families. Thank you for helping us in the awesome task of educating your children. Thank you for your many kindnesses throughout the school year. Thank you for the privilege of working with your children!

 

With the difficult economy, we realize that some families are under extra stress and perhaps are not feeling especially thankful! We can offer something which might help you. At any point in the school year if you lose a job or your hours are reduced, you may fill out our Free and Reduced lunch forms to see if you qualify for a free or reduced cost lunch. If you want these forms to be sent home, please call the office. This could be helpful to you during an economic hardship!

 

This month is especially busy for us since several very important events will happen in November. We will administer the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam (WKCE) to our 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th grade students. This is the state-mandated test which provides feedback to students and parents as well as to schools and to our Department of Public Instruction.

 

Also, we will hold Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 24. It is our hope to meet with ALL parents regarding the progress of students. If you have not yet returned the sheet with your schedule requests, please do so! 

Once again, thank you for the support you provide to us and to your children. Although I am early with this greeting, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to our Central-Denison families. Enjoy the season.
